The cell phone rang Thursday and on the other end was Leslie MacMillian a writer for the New York Times. She said she was interested in talking to me about my photography work and the map created by Stacy Dolderer, documenting the oil drilling on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. This has been an ongoing project for me since about 2010. There’s no end in sight. The drilling continues with more wells near Glacier National Park planned.

Tony – Jack G. also shared the link to the NYT blog with me. It is AWESOME. I wish I could participate with the group more openly, but that’s okay.
Question: is the map that appears at the top of the blog published on the web or otherwise available? Angelika shared with me her paper map. No one that I know of in our agency is aware of the full extent of Anshutz development. (They have not been forthcoming, and we have been ineffective at pushing for full disclosure and analysis.) It appears to be an interactive map with video, but it wasn’t working in the link I had.
